This is my Range Hack for a Syma X5C. After watching many videos and visiting forums this is what I have come up with. I hope it helps. I will be taking my Syma X5C out to a large open space tomorrow and going for an altitude test. I will post the videos on Sunday.
cant imagine a solid copper wire would be wise. twisted pair cancels noise.
Also the length of the antennas are length specific to match the true
2.4ghz. going outside that range will only hurt you after that. preferred
remote antenna length is 4.92 inches. from board to tip. Have no
experience with modding the copters antenna but I almost wonder if the
length of antenna in the copter is the same length as the remote then maybe
both should be 4.92"

Thanks for this! Just ordered a pig tail antenna for £3. Did you test this
as I couldn't see a video for the test flight.

Try "aerial."
Ariel is the Little mermaid.....
Apart from that, it was an informative video and I will be conducting the
same mods to mine.
