Old Fashioned Official Trailer 1 (2015) - Romance Movie HD
A former frat boy and a free-spirited woman together attempt the impossible: an "old-fashioned" courtship in contemporary America.

We need more movies like this. When DID treating women with respect become
a joke, exactly?

My generation (not all of it) will most likely go and watch 50 Shades of
Grey
Meanwhile...I'll casually go watch Old Fashioned...

As a guy, I sort of feel weird about wanting to watch this! From the
trailer the guy, reminds me of me, and the girl reminds me of the the girl
I am into. The girl I am into is not really like me, "not really my type."
And I am just a normal Christian man who follows the rules.

I think i would rather bleeding boils form on my eyes than watch this, it
looks dreadful on too many levels to possibly sit through.

So....Who does he think he's fooling with that haircut/wig?!

Why is there a dichotomy between this movie and 50 Shades of Gray?? They're
both shitty movies with shitty writing. Why not see a movie that isn't
about romance for once and question what society throws at you. Or just
keep consuming...
I watched this trailer only because I couldn't believe that such a premise
wasn't a parody.

Right now over 650,000 views. Not bad. 1 month and two days until the first
3 theaters on Feb 6th release. #movietrailer +Johne Cook +Conrad Carriker

From the two trailers I watched, I'm not overly impressed so far. There's
no real "draw" for me here and the characters haven't really caught my
interest yet, but maybe this is just post-Pinocchio criticism, where
everything now has to be compared to the twenty hours of epicness and
heartbreak I just watched.

This movie appeals to only 2 types of people.
1. The demographic of Christians whom I call "idiots." (The ones who will
see anything with "Jesus" in it regardless of quality)
2. Kids under 17 who will pay to go "see" this and sneak into Kingsman like
good little moviegoer children (P.S. Go see Kingsman.)

almost threw up watching this...

There is still a portion of humanity that craves decency and godliness. I
think that's clear from the amount of likes vs dislikes. My wife and I will
definitely see this film. It's frankly a breath of fresh air in comparison
to what we deal with in our society.

Why can't this come out on a different day. I actually kind of feel bad
that mostly everyone else is going to watch Fifty Shades of Grey instead of
this.

Does anyone of you know the title of the song played in the background? :)

I can tell you the plot already:
-Guy gets divorce/terrible breakup and it's mixed in with a pseudo-midlife
crisis so he's buys into the "Gandhi Complex" and tries to rethink
everything.
-Girl either has never had a serious relationship or spent her first 30
years reading Sappy Christian Romance novels and read the Song of Songs one
too many times.
-Both of them meet and Guy is all cool and suave by not being meathead or
sap because he's Gandhi remember? He's the Anti-Charmer by basically
telling the girl he could either see her or not and it makes no real
difference either way. Girl is inspired by this "Mr. Darcy" type figure and
she's happy he won’t be trying to get in her pants or flood her voicemail
with 20 messages about where she is all the live long day.
-The movie progresses for 90 minutes of Cat and Mouse, with both characters
flanked by family, friends encouraging them to find the first chapel and
get married already. And a Non-Denominational Minister who gives both of
them generic, watered down advice that is self-evident for even the most
fallen away Christian.
-Finally the girl gets fed up with the man's smugness and sense of
melancholy negativity and leaves him, then Guy realizes, “Hey, maybe I'm
NOT the next Descartes or Kant, and I have the warm fuzzies for the girl."
-Both walk around in the rain, inexplicably refusing to use umbrellas or
raincoats as an 80's era rock ballad plays. Girl is about to leave town for
a fresh start, when guy comes running from best friend/dad/loved one who
set him straight, they see each other, exchange sappy apologies, make some
silly monologue about love and feels and a CHASTE kiss ensues, because as
we all know, sucking on lips and tongue is from the evil one. The
cheesiness is capped by The girl popping her leg up behind her, the guy
cupping her cheeks and as the shot fades to black, a soft selection from
the Billboard top 40 comes on, most likely Newsboys or Casting Crowns.
But it doesn’t matter, it will be filled with Christian Allegory and
Symbolism and there will be not so much as bare shoulders or chest hair
visible so all of American Christianity will embrace the film like it's
Casablanca and the couple as Bogie and Bergman, just like Fireproof, just
like Bella. So before you jump down my throat, I will say: Go see it. Take
as many people with you, use it as a source of fellowship for your church
or prayer group. Buy the soundtrack and Poster. And go as far as fooling
yourself into thinking it’s a good movie. But don’t act like it's the next
Oscar Winner or any sort of significant addition to American Cinema,
because it's not. It’s the same tired, worn out, used plot that is used
over and over and over again in literature and Cinema. Why do I know this?
Because I made movies my whole life, I've watched close to 1000 films,
studied them and studied the anatomy of Film and the dynamics of it.
I know film, and I am telling you right now, "Old Fashioned" is doomed to
be ordinary, the death sentence of Films.

I'm really curious now... The guy looks and acts JUST like a guy I know
(who's almost 30 now), who once pursued me. I'm really curious...

Chivalry is making a Comeback? But the trailer just shows a guy scared to
open up to another person, so is that chivalry?
